Best ever performance by a Sri Lankan Scrabbler

 

Janul de Silva a 13 year old Royalist of grade 8K emerged 4th place at the World Youth Scrabble Championship 2015 which was held in Perth, Australia. A total of 106 players participated at this championship which was for the best under 18 players in the world. He is the youngest in the top ten at this year’s WYSC.

Out of all 10 Sri Lankan representatives, the other two Royalists, Aabid Ismail and Hasidu Amarapperuma secured 13th and 37th places respectively.
